- Colaboration in
the children's section
of the Tibetan-language magazine Daltawa, published in Qinghai
(People's Republic of China). TALI provides the editors of Dalwata with
stories for children, as well as articles for parents and teachers on
issues such as education, and child development and psychology. For
more information on, or subscriptions to Daltawa magazine, please click

- Publication
of children's books written in Tibetan language. TALI supports
Tibetan educators, writers and illustrators in the development of
much-needed Tibetan-language children's books. The following two books,
recently published and distributed by TALI, are examples of
this creative effort:
A
Small
Frog and a Crow, written by Nangsal
Tenzin Norbu and Tsering
Choedron;
illustrated by Dedron; book design by Tsering Namgyal. Based on a
Tibetan oral tale passed from
generation to generation, this tale is the story of a little frog
whose resourcefulness allows her to escape the tight claws of a hungry
crow. It is intended for children 3-6 years of age.

The
Prince
and the Yogin’s Daughter, adapted and
illustrated by Serdrak
Dondrup
Tseten; book design by Tracy Ellen Smith. The story
narrates the vicitudes of two lovers who are forced to overcome
seemingly insurmountable obstacles to be together. Intended for
children above ten years of age.

- Book drives.
TALI conducts book drives in different cities in the US in
order
to send Children's English-language books to Tibetan schools and
libraries, such
as Tibet Library in Lhasa.
